We are together!
On October 26, PRMU students took part in the training ‘We are together!’ organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region for overseas
A guided tour along Rozhdestvenskaya Street was held for overseas students with a view to overcoming interethnic and cultural stereotypes and creating a unified cultural and academic space.
International students appreciated Blinov`s Arcade styled after Ancient Russia and the stunning Nativity Church built by Grigory Stroganov in 1715.
They learned that Stroganov Church became a landmark for Ivan Kulibin, an outstanding Nizhny Novgorod inventor who repaired the unique church clock at the age of 14, that A.S. Pushkin, Russia’s most famous poet, visited Nizhny Novgorod on September 2, 1833, and that ‘The Artist’ (the street sculpture) is dedicated to K.E. Makovsky, who worked on sketches for the painting ‘Minin's Appeal’ for a number of years.
