Happy Russian Language Day!

On June 6 – the birthday of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, a Russian poet, the founder of the modern Russian literary language – the Day of the Russian Language is celebrated in Russia and throughout the world, and it is also celebrated at PRMU. On the eve of the holiday, the teachers of the Russian language section of the Department of Foreign Languages present certificates to the 1st year FIME students for completing an intensive course of the Russian language, and show Russian films and animated cartoons.
Why study Russian? Overseas students who study in English answer this question like this: “It is a shame to live in Russia and not to know the Russian language. We should speak to patients at the hospital, and the patients only speak Russian. It is interesting to communicate with Russian people.”
