The All-Russian XVII Forum with International Participation “Information Technologies in Medical Libraries” will be held on 21–23 October 2026.

Venue: Scientific Library of the Privolzhsky Research Medical University (68 Gagarina Avenue, Nizhny Novgorod; Conference Hall, PRMU)
Format: in-person attendance

Principal thematic areas for discussion:

• Development of human resources capacity: discussion of a competency model for a specialist working with electronic resources, and requirements for the training and advanced qualification of personnel.

• Implementation of artificial intelligence technologies: analysis of practical applications of AI solutions in the operations of medical libraries (search, cataloguing, user interaction).

• Transformation of user behaviour: examination of the information needs and requests of new generations of users, and adaptation of library services.

• Optimisation of resource provision: effective models of subscription management, interlibrary cooperation, and operation under conditions of limited funding.
