"Goodbye, Winter!", or PRMU Overseas Students Celebrate Shrove

Overseas students with the tutors of the Department of Foreign Languages joined Shrovetide. Nizhny Novgorod City Administration, Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy and Interethnic Youth Club arranged cognitive and entertaining event " Shrove - Russian traditions" on February 20, 2023. The goal was to acquaint foreigners with a notable national holiday.

FIME students received a lot of impressions and positive emotions. There were thematic areas, where participants completed tasks, collected tokens and exchanged them in a win-win lottery for memorable prizes. At Shrove event, overseas students danced, baked and ate pancakes, guessed by candlelight, burnt the straw effigy of Shrove and, of course, learned a lot about Russian traditions and culture.
