3rd year student of FIME PRMU Kareem Hussein Zoher Kareem (Iraq) took the third place in the International Online Olympiad in Russian Lobachevsky/RU among foreign students not only from Nizhny Novgorod and Russian universities, but also from universities and lyceums in Kazakhstan, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, and Montenegro. The Olympiad was held at UNN from February 1 to April 23 in three rounds. The participants evaluated their grammatical skills, ability to present their presentation in Russian, and participation in an impromptu dialogue.
Kareem Hussein Zoher Kareem passed the grammar test with dignity, spoke in Russian about the ancient culture of Mesopotamia (his native country is partially located on the territory of an ancient state), easily entered the role of an unhappy husband who lost his job – and took the third place!
This is a worthy assessment of the Russian language skills of a student of a non-linguistic university studying in an intermediary language!
